About

Hi, I am Rachit (@rachitdhar). Here I am planning to share all sorts of interesting stuff that I have built or written. I have worked on various programming languages and several different kinds of software (including console apps, desktop tools, web, games, libraries), and really like exploring new and creative ideas that I often work on recreationally; with the side effect that they occassionally happen to also be useful. Personally, I like thinking from a fundamentals approach, and taking care of small but important low-level technical details that matter for performance: including memory, algorithmic time complexity, and overall system design.

Besides this, my interests are quite broad — ranging from areas like physics, mathematics, computer science and engineering, to philosophy, evolutionary biology, psychology, art, music, chess, and classic literary works. Of course, given the breadth of it all, I wouldn't claim to know all subjects to a significant depth; but I hope to keep learning!

Posts

I just happened to think it would be pretty nice to have a place to write down stuff, or just put up written material / notes of mine if I ever feel the desire to do so. Thus, I have created a posts page for this purpose.

Library

There are a massive number of great books that I plan on reading, but it is of course impractical to buy them all at once. So I have been maintaining a personal excel sheet to help with this. It allows me to not only keep a list of several good books for the future, but also keep track of the ones that I have in my possession, and the ones that I have already finished (at least to the extent of my personal satisfaction). Here I have created a page containing this book list (in case it might be of interest to anyone).

Sites

Here are some sites that I have created. These include both tools and web games (several other tools and games can also be found in the Apps section on this page)

Desktop Apps

The following are links to various desktop applications built by me. These will take you to the respective GitHub releases page, from where you can download the app.
